Black Mountain resident Ann Lea is an accomplished watercolor and acrylic artist as well as a seasoned historian. Born in Nashville, some of her work can be viewed at the Memphis Zoo. She has also been involved in the antique business for more than 25 years. Ann’s experience and deep historical knowledge have been integral factors in cultivating her keen sense and passion for high-quality antique collection.
John Makowski studied in Los Angeles and Sonoma County for many years in order to transform his love of clay into wonderfully creative works of art. Much of his work is in the homes of private collectors, both nationally and internationally. In recent years, John has collected brass and copper objects such as teapots, vases, musical instruments, and samovars in order to create figures, helmets, life-size motor / music cycles, and unique trains. His whimsical pieces encourage humor and remind people to laugh.
